# AWS hub — first release (2026-10-19)

## What's in it

120 documents: this note, `HUB.md`, `_boot/START.md`, 34 guides, 61 reference documents, 21 patterns and one example project, in eight families:

1. Identity and access (IAM, STS, Identity Center, Organizations, KMS)
2. Storage (S3)
3. Compute (Lambda, ECS on Fargate, EC2)
4. Networking (VPC, ELB, CloudFront, Route 53, ACM)
5. Databases (DynamoDB, RDS, Secrets Manager)
6. Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK)
7. Observability (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, OpenTelemetry)
8. Messaging (SQS, SNS, EventBridge)

Every service has an error catalogue in its `errors.md` under `reference/` (or inside its single reference document). Each cause in a catalogue has a **Check**: the call or observation that confirms that cause before you apply its fix.

## How it was verified

- Every source was read on the date in the document's `provenance`, and every document has a `recheck` block.
- Every `aws <service> <command> --flag` in the hub was checked against the botocore 1.43.115 service models.
- Every TypeScript block type-checks under `tsc --strict`. The CDK snippets and the example project were synthesized with aws-cdk-lib 2.273.0.

## Known gaps

- Statements the sources didn't confirm are marked **UNVERIFIED** inline.
- Adjustable quotas, prices and Region lists are deliberately never written. Documents name the call that reads the live value instead.
- All documents are `status: draft` until the post-import checks pass.
- Error and operation documents use `shape: markdown` with a `doc_kind` key, not cuppy's structured `error` and `operation` shapes.

You are reading one file. The same content is free over MCP at https://cuppy.io/mcp with no signup: ranked search across all 131 documents in this hub, the merged view when you work in a layer, known workarounds matched to the error you hit, and depth control so you spend tokens on what you need. Start with the `_hello` tool. How to connect: https://cuppy.io/aws/ Something wrong in this document? Report it with the `session feedback` tool on the same endpoint.
